Trade Up events are organized to bring you together with trade professionals in a 2 hour hands-on workshop setting. The title of the class and the nature of the workshop is determined by the trade professional who leads the course, meaning there will be a variety of trade experiences that you can have with Trade Up.

Our goal is to develop connections between tradespeople and community members.

Students will be presented the information in a formatted manner that includes some exposure to hands-on use of tools and materials. The formatting of the class ensures topics such as trade regulations, safety awareness, and best practices, as demonstrated by the trade professional, are all included. Participation in these classes fosters community while enhancing individual skill and confidence, and provides occasions to participate in future networking events and job opportunities.

Trade Up’s goal for community is to strengthen your ability to care for property of various types, primarily focusing on homes, whether by performing work yourselves or by hiring a trusted trade professional.

Individuals not necessarily on a career path are encouraged to follow the students and take classes themselves and thereby learn more of the trades while also meeting trade professionals who are active in the community.
